The Earth Element is seen in the solid aspects of landscape -- mountains, fields, trees, rocks, buildings, and roads.
In the physical body, Earth is said to be the Element of bones, muscles and all solid matter. In the emotional realm, it is displayed in feeling secure and strong. Mentally, Earth is manifested in the ability to concentrate. Actions based in confidence, focus, and consistency are said to be based in the Earth Element.
Higher functioning in Earth is thought to be evidenced in equanimity --accepting without judgment or attachment to outcome.
In Tibetan traditions, the Earth Element color is deep yellow and its symbol is a square.
Gemstones associated with the Earth Element are amethyst, peridot, brown and green jasper, emerald, onyx, jet, tourmalinated and rutiliated quartz, chrysophase, malachite, and turquoise.
